Hi, I’m Lorraine, and I’m a qualified counsellor offering a warm, confidential space where you can bring whatever is on your mind. My approach is rooted in empathy and presence, gentle and collaborative.
I know that reaching out for support isn’t always easy — especially when things feel uncertain or overwhelming. My aim is to offer a relationship where you feel truly heard, accepted, and understood. I’ll meet you just as you are, without judgement or expectation.
I work in a person-centred and integrative way, which means I place you — your experience, your pace, your needs — at the heart of our work. I believe that healing happens through connection and through being truly seen. Alongside this, I draw on different therapeutic approaches depending on what feels most helpful for you. That might include exploring emotions, building self-awareness, or finding ways to manage day-to-day challenges like anxiety or low mood.
Outside of the counselling room, I’m someone who values calm moments, walking in nature, spending time with loved ones, and finding moments of joy. I am a natural optimist, with a sightly cringey sense of humour, and I love getting to know people. However, I know what it’s like to face difficult seasons, have my resilience truly tested; and I bring that compassion and lived understanding into the way I work.
Counselling isn’t about having all the answers — it’s about making space for the questions, and walking through them together.
